Help with Letterporch
Contact us
Write to info@untd.club in English or Czech. One person reads that mailbox and answers, usually within a few working days. Please say which device and system version you are on and what you expected to happen.
You need an account before the app is useful
Letterporch is a client for a Letterporch server. The app has no sign-up screen: the person who runs the server creates your account and tells you the email address and password to sign in with. If you do not have one yet, write to info@untd.club and ask. There is nothing to buy in the app.
Without an account the app shows the sign-in screen and nothing else. Forgotten your password? Ask at the same address; we set a new one and it signs you out everywhere.
Connecting a mailbox
Mailboxes are connected in the web version, not in the app: sign in at app.letterporch.com and open Nastavení (Settings) → Přidat schránku (Add mailbox). Your own address does not change; Letterporch reads it over IMAP and sends through its SMTP server.
- Gmail: pick the Gmail preset and use a Google app password, not your normal one. Google only offers app passwords when 2-step verification is on.
- Seznam.cz: pick the Seznam preset and use the mailbox password.
- Any other provider: choose a custom server and fill in the IMAP and SMTP server names, ports and your password. Anything that speaks standard IMAP and SMTP works, including a mailbox at your own domain.
- Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 do not work. Microsoft requires OAuth sign-in, which Letterporch does not have yet.
After you add a mailbox the first download starts; mail appears in the app as it arrives. New senders land in Odesílatelé (Senders) and wait for your decision, so a fresh account looks quiet until you let the first senders in.
What the app does not do
So you are not looking for something that isn't there:
- No push notifications. Nothing arrives on your lock screen; you see new mail when you open the app.
- No sign-up and no mailbox management in the app. Both live in the web version.
- Plain text only when you write. No formatting, no signature, and you cannot attach your own files. A message you forward keeps the original's attachments and you can drop any of them.
- Search covers downloaded mail, meaning what the server has already fetched, not the entire history still sitting on your mail server.
- Nothing is written back to your mailbox. Seen, Done, Reply later and Set aside live in Letterporch only, so other mail apps see your mailbox exactly as before.
- The interface is in Czech. Pošta is Mail, Feed is Feed, Doklady is Paper Trail, Vyřídit is Done, K odpovědi is Reply later, Odložit is Set aside. English is on the list, it is not here yet.
System requirements
iOS 26, iPadOS 26 or macOS 26. One app covers iPhone, iPad and Mac, signed in with the same account as the web version.
Common problems
Sign-in is refused. The account email and password are the ones for Letterporch, not for your mail provider. If they still don't work, ask us for a new password.
The app is empty, or mail stopped arriving. Open Settings in the web version and look at the mailbox: a wrong password switches it to an error state and downloading stops until you enter it again. Mail is fetched every few minutes, not instantly.
A message shows no images. Remote content in HTML mail stays blocked until you ask for it, so a sender cannot tell whether you opened the message. Tap the notice in the message to load it.
Attachments. They are fetched from your mailbox when you open them and are not stored on our server. If the mailbox is unreachable, the attachment won't open.
Sent mail is not in your provider's Sent folder. Gmail files sent mail there by itself; many other providers do not. Letterporch always keeps its own copy in Odeslané (Sent).
Removing a mailbox or your account
In the web version, Settings removes a mailbox that has not downloaded anything yet; for the rest use Pozastavit (Pause), which stops the downloading and keeps the mail you already have. Deleting a mailbox that holds mail, or closing your whole account and erasing its data, is done by us: write to info@untd.club and we do it.
Privacy
What Letterporch stores, where it runs and how to have it erased: privacy notice.
